Things For Your Oral Hygiene From Dental Laboratories

Just like with any other technology, dental technology also keeps on improving. Today there are even options to have braces that are not entirely visible so people who need these will no longer have to suffer from being labelled as metal mouth. The same thing goes for oral hygiene products; dental laboratories are always looking to develop newer technologies to help us have better smiles.

Listed below are some of the cool products developed by dental labs and companies to promote better oral health and nicer-looking teeth that you should definitely include in your oral care arsenal.

1. Electric toothbrushes may be bulky, but they do a really great job of removing build-up or plaque. Likewise, they are much better at cleaning the molars to prevent cavities, and with the steady circular brushing motion, there's a lower likelihood of scraping the enamel and "bruising" the teeth.

2. Next you have whitening strips that help improve the colour of the teeth. This is also very effective in giving people nice pearly whites and is a far cheaper treatment that going for laser treatments. Although it takes some time for people to see the full effects, it doesn't make teeth ultra-sensitive unlike laser treatments.

3. Dental floss that are flat or ribbon type are much gentler on the gums in comparison with woven type floss. This kind of floss is easier to pass in between the teeth and is also very efficient at removing logged food particles. The flat kind of floss is less likely to cause injury to the gums and does not need too much force to have it pass in between the teeth. Although the woven type of floss is still better at removing all debris from your teeth, this will be better for those who have wider gaps in between their teeth. Laboratories are also looking at new materials to improve the woven floss to make it much gentler on the gums.

4. An alternative to the string floss is the Airfloss. These are very similar to the ones that are used in dental clinics. This can also be used to remove plaque build-up. All you need to do is to point it in between your teeth and with a click of a button it releases a quick burst of pressurised air combined with some water. This can be a bit expensive for most but it is a very effective cleaning tool for your teeth.

5. Anti-microbial mouthwashes with no alcohol content maintain the mouth's pH level which is known to slow down the spread of bacteria that causes bad breath. Some have been developed to have no sting at all, making thorough cleansing of the whole mouth so much easier.

6. And then there are the toothy tabs. These are not yet that popular in use but a lot of people do prefer this over carrying a tube of toothpaste with them. All you need to do is to place one of these tabs between the front teeth and give it a little nibble to break it down, and then simply bush it away with a wet toothbrush and you're all done.
